AZ-140: Configuring and Operating Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop

Course Description

This course teaches Azure administrators how to plan, deliver, and manage remote applications and virtual desktop experiences for any type of device in Azure. Lessons include deploying and managing networks for Azure Virtual Desktop, configuring host groups and session hosts, creating session host images, deploying and managing FSLogix, monitoring health, and Azure Virtual Desktop performance, and automating Azure Virtual Desktop management tasks. Through a combination of demos and labs, students will learn how to deploy virtual desktop applications and experiences on Azure Virtual Desktop and optimize them to work in multisession virtual environments. Candidates for this course should have a solid understanding of Azure administration. This course assumes prior experience, including virtualization, networking, identity, storage, backup and restore, and disaster recovery. Students should have knowledge of on-premises virtual desktop infrastructure technologies related to migrating to Azure Virtual Desktop. Students are expected to have used tools common to the Azure environment, such as Azure PowerShell and Cloud Shell.

Audience profile

Students in the AZ-140: Setting Up and Running Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop course are interested in delivering applications in Azure Virtual Desktop and optimizing them to work in multi-session virtual environments. As an Azure Virtual Desktop administrator, you'll work closely with Azure administrators and architects, as well as Microsoft 365 administrators. The responsibilities of an Azure Virtual Desktop administrator include planning, deploying, packaging, updating, and maintaining Azure infrastructure. Virtual Desktop. They also create session host images, deploy and manage FSLogix, monitor Azure Virtual Desktop performance, and automate Azure Virtual Desktop management tasks.
