Razor Pages in ASP.NET

Course Description

This course is taught in online mode and consists of 8 units.

The approximate duration of the course is 70 hours That distributes between content and collaboration tools. Upon completion, the student will receive an accrediting diploma.

Training is done through our Virtual Campus , with this modality you will have all the didactic content on the course platform and it will be accessible, from the start day of the course, 24 hours a day, every day of the week. Access to the Campus will be available for 8 weeks.

The student will also have participation forums , as well as a continuous tutoring .

With .NET 6.0

Unit 1: Introduction to Razor Pages

  • Configuring the .NET SDK and .NET Runtime
  • Installing .NET SDK

Unit 2: Creating a web project with Razor Pages templates

  • Create domain model (BlogPost and tag)
  • Add Entity Framework Core Packages
  • Creating the DBContext class
  • Add ConnectionString to the database
  • Injecting DbContext into our application
  • Run EF Core migrations

Unit 3: Creation of Actions, web pages and forms

  • Changes to the user interface (appearance)
  • Create a new Razor page to add blog posts
  • Create Add BlogPost Razor Form and BindProperty
  • Form submission and data binding on Razor pages
  • Create blog post (Save to database)
  • Show all blog posts (Get all blog posts)
  • Edit or update the blog post
  • Delete blog post
  • Make our methods asynchronous
  • Create a form

Unit 4: Repository management, notifications and image uploads

  • Repository management
  • Show notifications using ViewData
  • Show notifications using TempData
  • Add WYSIWIG editor on Add and Edit page
  • Introduction to uploading images
  • Create Image API
  • Create the POST method and image repository
  • Inject image repository and test Cloudinary
  • Loading callout images from Razor page
  • Add image upload to Froala editor
  • Make notifications generic

Unit 5: Blog Management, Tags and Authentication

  • Blog Creation
  • Blog viewing
  • Tag management
  • Make changes to the database (EF Core navigation properties)
  • Tag changes on the Add Blog Post page
  • Tag changes on the Edit Blog page
  • Show tags on the blog details page and in the app
  • Label routing
  • Add connection string and inject DbContext into program.cs
  • Implement registration page
  • Handling multiple DbContexts
  • Test logging functionality
  • Implement login page and functionality
  • Implement logout functionality
  • Changes in SuperAdminUser
  • Changes to users (add user roles)
  • Add authorization to admin page
  • Add role-based authorization to the admin page

Unit 6: User Functionality Management

  • The Like Domain Model

  • The domain model for comments and adding comments

Unit 7: User administration and validations of client-server environments

  • Server-Side Validations for Registration Page
  • Client-side validations for registration page
  • Login page validation (server side and client side)
  • Validation of add user page (server side and client side)
  • Add validations and custom validations to add blog post page
  • Add validations to edit blog post page
  • Validate BlogPost comments and blog post page
  • Creating a project

Unit 8: Integrating Core Razor Components in ASP.NET

  • Routing components in a Razor Pages app
  • Using routable components in an MVC app
  • Namespaces for components
  • Rendering components from a page or view

No prior technical requirements are necessary to take this course. However, basic computer skills and knowledge of environments related to Information Technology are recommended.
