Course Description: MS-4006: Copilot for Microsoft 365 for Administrators

This course begins by examining the design of Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365. However, it primarily focuses on the security and compliance features that administrators must configure in their Microsoft 365 tenant to protect their company's organizational data before deploying Copilot for Microsoft 365.

Preparing your organization for Copilot for Microsoft 365

• Examine the design of Copilot for Microsoft 365: This module examines the design of Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365, how it works, its logical service and tenant architecture, and how you can extend it using Microsoft Graph add-ons and connectors.
• Deploying Copilot for Microsoft 365: This module examines the key tasks that administrators must complete when deploying Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365, such as completing prerequisites, preparing data for searches, and assigning Copilot for Microsoft 365 licenses.
• Examine data security and compliance in Copilot for Microsoft 365: This module examines how Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 meets existing privacy and compliance obligations, ensures data residency and compliance boundary, and protects sensitive business data.

Managing Copilot data security for Microsoft 365

• Manage secure user access in Microsoft 365: This module examines the various features provided in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem to protect user access, such as conditional access policies, multi-factor authentication, self-service password management, smart lockout policies, and security defaults.
• Managing Permissions, Roles, and Role Groups in Microsoft 365: This module examines the use of roles and role groups in the Microsoft 365 permissions model, including managing roles, best practices for setting up admin roles, delegating roles, and elevating privileges.

Copilot Data Compliance Management for Microsoft 365

• Implement sensitive data classification: This module introduces data classification in Microsoft 365, including how to build and train classifiers, view sensitive data using Content Explorer and Activity Explorer, and implement document fingerprinting.
• Explore Sensitivity Labels: This module examines how sensitive labels in the Microsoft Information Protection solution enable you to classify and protect your organization's data while ensuring that user productivity and ability to collaborate are not hindered.
• Deploying Sensitivity Labels: This module examines the process of deploying sensitivity labels, including applying the appropriate administrative permissions, determining a deployment strategy, creating, configuring, and publishing labels, and deleting and clearing labels.
