Redeem Azure Pass (Azure Pass)

To take tests and labs for some courses, you will need to have an Azure account.

When applicable, Nanfor will provide you with a voucher (identifier) called Azure Pass, With which you can create a new Azure account, and in turn a Subscription with a balance that you must manage for a month.

Important note: We recommend that you previously learn how to manage and control expenses in Azure so as not to quickly deplete your balance.

Here You have a short guide to help you validate the pass.

Student inquiries

And if I have a question, what should I do?

Students mainly have the following forms of contact

  • Consultation Forum: It is located within the Nanfor Ibérica training portal, located among the resources at the beginning of the course. It is the best tool to interact with your trainer, in order to:
    • Make an inquiry about the course content
    • Comment on some additional content
    • Review the comments or interactions of other students.
  • Email: The main objective of e-mail communication is to solve technical problems or interact (reminders, invitations, inscriptions…) with the student.

Additionally, as a complement to the elements previously described (Forum for didactic consultations and mail for technical consultations) we offer you other forms of contact:

  • Skype: Communication support tool, through the account support.nanfor@outlook.es
  • Telephone: +34 91 031 6678
  • Internal messaging of the Training Portal: In the training portal, you can send a message to a tutor or other classmate through the messaging system.
  • Blog: Informative blog with news and news of interest to current or potential student, in https://catalogo.nanfor.com/blogs/news

Password to access the courses. I can change it?

The Nanfor support team can only track those students who keep the password provided at the beginning of the course.

Any change in the password would mean the inability to maintain the support service. So the student would go from individualized support to self-study and could not reward the course.

Nanfor courses and content

The contents on which Nanfor Ibérica courses are based are of different origins, they can be official contents of the manufacturer, contents developed by Nanfor Ibérica and contents that Nanfor Ibérica selects so that the training experience adapts to the expectations and objectives of the action formative. This means that certain courses can have different origins and components.

The forums, monitoring and monitoring activities are carried out by Nanfor Ibérica.

The only means of communication of the courses, regardless of the content, is through the Nanfor Ibérica platform, forum and / or email.

Bonus Courses (Students)

If your company has contracted the course with the right to a bonus, keep in mind that:

  1. Dates: The start and end dates of the course cannot be modified or lengthened in time.
  2. From where to do the course: You must access your manuals and resources FOREVER from the Nanfor Ibérica training portal, so that your accesses and duration used in the study are recorded.
  3. Commitment: Although from Nanfor we try to stimulate your training, it is your responsibility as a student, the commitment when carrying out the training. If by neglect or omission you do not complete the objectives, the company will not be able to benefit and will have to assume all the costs of the course (with the aggravation that, in addition, you will not have taken advantage of a good opportunity to train you).

Bonus Courses (Companies)

Sometimes, companies can take advantage of certain subsidies or bonuses so that their workers can take training.

It is very important to identify which training can be rewarded, in what percentage, and which not, BEFORE of the beginning of a course. Only then will you be able to get the best training at the cheapest price.

So, if you are interested in rewarding one or more courses, we recommend that you carefully read the Bonus guide and / or ask your consultant if there are any unresolved questions.

Bonus and Non-Bonus Course - Economic Difference

When hiring a subsidized course and contrasting its price with one that is not, these logical questions may arise. What is the economic difference between a subsidized and non-subsidized course? Is the difference because you manage the administrative aspects?

The higher subsidized rate is not for administrative procedures, but for the type of support and additional tasks that our organization involves managing the participant's follow-up with personalized reports.

We can do the procedures for free, but for an online course to be rewarded, a set of additional tasks are necessary at the level of support and report management, which motivate the differences in the rates.

If it is not discounted, with rates of 695 euros, the student has freedom of access in terms of duration and subject matter, being able to carry out the parts they deem appropriate depending on their available time and the topics that may interest them the most. (Note: always taking into account the times of the official packages).

If it is rewarded, we must supervise that the student has carried out all the activities, that they are at least 80% of the time, that they have passed the tests, that they carry out the training at an established time and dates, and of their participation in the forum or any kind of interaction.

Duration and postponements of courses and practices

The courses have specific start and end dates. These dates of completion are based on the data sent in the proposals to those responsible for the purchase (sometimes it coincides and it is the same participant who takes the course and in many others the course is hired by the human resources manager).

The dates of certain training resources are fixed, cannot be postponed and cannot be extended. Next, we show a couple of specific cases of the so-called training ‘resources’:

      • MOC On Demand, currently have a generic completion term for all their courses (You can see more information here). Although the student accesses it from the Nanfor Ibérica portal, it is an official Microsoft package acquired with closed dates.
      • Online Laboratory - Microsoft Course: (You can see more information at here). Training resource whose start date is established in writing with the student, once they have started their training on the portal and with the associated Digital MOC.

The associated deadlines cannot be changed without a new purchase.
These resources will not be returned or replaced once sent if the course participant, within a maximum period of 72 hours, does not notify support@nanforiberica.com with acknowledgment of receipt of the incident due to lack of operation. Any cause such as vacations, increased workload or other circumstances, in the case of a modification that affects these resources, cannot be attended due to their expiration dates.

Support assistance may only be extended by Nanfor Ibérica's technical and / or training team, if the causes were justified, and always with the aim that the participants achieve their objectives.

      Official Certification Exam

An official Certification exam allows you to demonstrate your knowledge, internationally, endorsed by the manufacturer (Microsoft, Oracle, LPI, EXIN ...).

      1) If you want to get certified and have purchased a Training + Exam package, you should know:

      • Each exam has its own characteristics according to the type of exam and manufacturer, generally they are usually included in:
        • Language: In English and sometimes other languages such as Spanish.
        • Duration: From 90 minutes to 150 minutes is usually the maximum duration on average.
        • Place: In an authorized center such as Nanfor Ibérica with an exam supervisor. On specific occasions they can be done online and depending on the manufacturer, this option implies an extra cost.
      • We recommend that no more than 2 months pass since a candidate completes a course and takes the exam (In order to review-expand concepts some time after training and not forget them in turn). The maximum period to take an exam with the Training + Exam package is a maximum of 6 months after the end of the course (although it will depend on the length of the course / courses and the availability of the center / candidates).
      • Nanfor Iberíca has many students in the teletraining modality and the manufacturers it represents have remote certification methods without having to go to a VUE center.
The method for certification in the office or home is the simplest. In the case of Microsoft we have this option: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/learning/online-proctored-exams.aspx
      • In the case of wanting to take the exams in person:
        - The candidate should request an examination date in a place close to his home. To see where they take place, access: https://home.pearsonvue.com/test-taker.aspx

      • In some of its centers Nanfor Ibérica offers the possibility of taking the exams. They are normally held for students of the entity, on the last Friday of each month. To request the exam dates, contact the consultant who managed the course.
      • In case you have agreed on an exam date with the consultant, in order to present yourself, you must complete all the information on a registration form that we will provide you by mail at least one week before the exam. You have a chip example and how to fill it here.

      2) If you want to get certified and you have not purchased a Training + Exam package, contact us and we will inform you of the existing possibilities.

Test exams What are they for and what are they like?

To help you prepare for an official certification exam, we put at your disposal (within the training courses), exams in PDF version with sample questions.

Although these questions-answers have been developed by experts, this material should be used to know the format of the questions and become familiar with them, but there may be some whose answer is not adequate.

FOREVER You must contrast the answers with the theory of the course, additional resources (for example, consulting your tutor in the Forum) or reviewing the official Technet websites of Microsoft, Oracle, etc.

      Language of the courses

I want to enroll in a course and I don't know if it is in Spanish, how can I know?

Quickly, search our Catalogue the course you are interested in. Review the information about it and THE INDEX of the course will be what tells you what language it is in. If the course index is in Spanish, the course will be in Spanish, and so on with any other language.

      Generically:

      • The official manufacturer courses follow the guidelines and regulations regulated at an international level. This means that in most cases, manufacturers such as Microsoft, Oracle, Linux LPI, EXIN, Axelos, etc ... create their content in English, so that the participant finds subtitled videos, base content, practices and questions exam / test in this language.
      • All the courses developed by Nanfor Ibérica are usually in Spanish (although sometimes we have more versions in other languages).

To carry out the official courses it is NOT necessary to have an advanced level of the language, only to understand common technological terms in different languages (Networking, hardware, links, etc ...

In addition, and as a fundamental part of the success of the training actions, there is the monitoring, accompaniment and supervision of the Nanfor Ibérica support staff, who carry out the training tasks (forum, consultations, support ...) in Spanish / Spanish as indicated in https://catalogo.nanfor.com/pages/soporte-2-0

      Laboratory What is it?

Laboratories are the way in which a student can put into practice the knowledge acquired in theory, without the need for different equipment, licenses and facilities. It is a virtual environment accessible with a browser, from where you can practice as if they were real machines.

Sometimes the laboratories are an independent resource from the Training Manual and therefore have a timing (different Start and End Dates).

      We currently have these laboratories:

      1. MOC ON Demand Lab (Microsoft Course)
      2. Online Laboratory (Microsoft Course)
      3. Oracle Laboratory

      ↑ Top

MOC ON Demand Lab - Microsoft Course

They are part of the MOC On Demand content. The dates to do it coincide with those established for the reading and understanding of the theory (a maximum of 3 months).

In order to perform the integrated labs with this MOC, follow these simple steps:

      1. Access your MOC On Demand course from the link within your own course on the Nanfor Ibérica Training Portal.
      2. Keep in mind that you can have several active courses or just one. Find and click the course in whose labs you want to practice.
You can see an example here.
      3. Finally, look in the course content for the icon icono lab, since they are the sections that represent an interactive laboratory. Click on this section and explanations will appear with all the steps you must follow.
      4. After taking a quick look at these explanations, click Open lab, and perform the steps in the previous section.
You can see an example here.

IMPORTANT note: For Azure labs, Nanfor provides a free, limited-time pass (1 month and € 85 approx). This duration is independent of the laboratories, so if you want to use Azure for longer, the participant must create a new subscription and assume the relevant expenses of the same.

Example video of access and use of Labs in MOC OnDemand:

      Online Laboratory - Microsoft Course

They are a complement to the MOC-Digital. It has a maximum duration of 21 days, although some courses are even limited to 5 days.

They are an independent resource to the MOC and it is important to remember that, in order to do so:

      • It is necessary to pre-establish a starting date in writing between the student and the department. Support from Nanfor Ibérica.

IMPORTANT: It is essential to set a date for the laboratory activation within the first 2 months from the beginning of the course. If not, the student loses the right to it.

      • Once the support department confirms and reserves the dates, they are not modifiable.

These laboratories are a complement to the MOC and you cannot do them without it, since the details of the exercises to be carried out are within the MOC (in any of its formats). We recommend that you have the theory of the exercise that you are going to do in the MOC (or another screen) open in one tab, and the laboratory in a second tab.

In order to carry out these labs, follow these simple steps:

      1. Access your Laboratory from the link within your own course on the Nanfor Ibérica Training Portal.
      2. It will ask for your credentials (email and password). Enter them and you will go to a virtual environment from where you can control and use one or more virtual machines prepared for your exercises.
You can see an example here.

Note: These labs are independent of any other resource, and therefore, in order to use them, you must have received unique credentials for them (which may coincide with those of the MOC or the Training Portal, but not necessarily).

You can download a detailed guide to the operation of the laboratories here.

      ↑ Top

      Oracle Laboratory

They are part of the Oracle course content. The dates to do it coincide with those established for reading and understanding the theory.

In order to perform the labs, follow these simple steps:

      1. Access your course as you do with the rest of the theory.
      2. Click on the tab Labs
      3. Choose the date that is more convenient for you to carry out the practices. You can choose a week to practice in the next three months from the beginning of the course.
      4. When you have reserved and confirmed this date, you just have to click on Access your Lab.

If you press here, you can see an example of how to find these steps in your course.

      MOC What is it?

A MOC (Microsoft Official Courseware) is an Official Microsoft Training Manual. It can only be purchased from a Microsoft Authorized Partner by direct purchase or as a teaching tool that accompanies other resources in a training course.
      There are two versions:

      • MOC online: It is the recommended option, since you can study it from different devices and locations, just by having a browser and internet connectivity. There are in turn different formats, currently they are MOC On Demand and MOC Digital.
      • Physical MOC: Equivalent paper version. It has a higher economic cost and is not available in all official courses.

MOC On Demand and MOC Digital - Differences

Next, we expose the fundamental differences of the two existing formats for Microsoft Official Training:

MOC On Demand: More modern and functional version for official Microsoft training. The most important characteristics are:

      • Laboratories included
      • Non-extendable temporary limitation of 3 months (90 days).
      • Updated multimedia content.
      • The official material is recommended by Microsoft as a basis for online training. There is no download in PDF or any other format. If this material was desired, it would be an addition to the catalog rate.

Digital MOC: Classic version of training in static format. The most important characteristics are:

      • Laboratories NOT included (they are managed independently).
      • NO multimedia content, only text and graphic format.
      • No time limitation (only the MOC, not the labs).

To access any of them, it must be done through a tool that works like a personal Library (Skillpipe), where we can permanently or temporarily add the MOC that we have acquired. From the Nanfor Ibérica training portal, within the course itself, you will have access to this tool.

Note: All courses are NOT available in both formats. You can consult the existing possibilities of each course in our catalog or by contacting your consultant.

      ↑ Top

Obligations of the student enrolled in an online course

In addition to carrying out the learning activities, the student will always have to confirm receipt of registrations, correct access to the platform, receipt of any component of the courses that requires personal access and verification of their use (for example, laboratories, official material from the online manufacturer, digital MOC, OD MOD, Oracle courses or urls with another type of access to complete the course).

The participant will have a maximum period of 72 hours to indicate any incident in the access or in the material, once the email has been received in their inbox. If you do not perform the relevant accesses and tests within the periods indicated by support, due to the expiration dates of the resources, these may not be operational for learning when access is requested later. It would be necessary to place a new purchase order.

Problem - I cannot access MOC On Demand

The MOC On Demand are hosted on a Microsoft platform to which you have access through our training portal, therefore, before trying to access you must make sure that you have a suitable username and password (Provided by Nanfor Ibérica or by yourself through an identifier that we have given you).

If you can't access MOC On Demand, follow these simple steps:

      1. Check if your browser is up to date. Each browser is different and updates differently. If you have questions about whether your browser is supported, check the Technical requirementsSee example image
      2. Close any session you have open: Mail, portals, social networks, ... any user in use can interfere with your connector to the MOC On Demand and prevent you from entering. We recommend that you even close the internet browser and reopen it without sessions and with a single tab. See example image
      3. Access the Nanfor Ibérica Training Classroom with your course access credentials. See example image
      4. Look for the resource within the course where Oracle is accessed and, if everything is correct, when you click on it it should ask for your credentials (username and password) adequate to enter. See example image

Technical requirements - MOC On Demand

To be able to access MOC On Demand you only need an updated browser and internet connection, but also make sure that:

      • When you go to access the MOC On Demand, you must not have any active session in your browser (an open email account, another tab with other open resources ...).
      • You must access the MOC On Demand from the Nanfor Ibérica training portal. It is true that Microsoft offers other forms of connection, but only by accessing from the Nanfor portal will the times and monitoring of activities be marked. This is especially important for Bonus Courses.

Recommended system requirements for the successful operation of MOC ON Demand include:

      • Windows 10 operating system
      • Updated Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge browser
      • Broadband Internet access (256 kilobytes per second)
      • ActiveX control installed (requires local administrator permissions) or Internet Explorer 11 or later
      • Some corporate firewalls may require a proxy client (such as the TMG client)
      • 1280 x 1024 screen resolution or higher

Note: An on-demand MOC can also be performed on a 4th generation iPad® Retina; however, tablets are not suitable for practical activities.

Note: Frequently scheduled maintenance for the Microsoft Labs Online (MLO) platform occurs between 10:00 PM and 12:00 AM PST every Thursday. During that time, you may not be able to access the MLO associated with an on-demand MOC.

You can get more detailed information from MOC On Demand here.

      Skillpipe Web App (Skillpipe online)

      • You can access Skillpipe online through www.skillpipe.com
      • Make sure your browser is updated to the latest version.
      • Supported browsers:
        • Chrome
        • Edge
        • Internet explorer
        • Firefox
        • Safari for MAC

      Skillpipe Apps (Skillpipe offline)

If you need to access Skillpipe through a specific device, or have limited connectivity, you also have this mode. It allows you to download the course and view it offline, but keeping a couple of things in mind:

      • If you use this offline version, you cannot sync your notes, bookmarks and progress with your account.
      • To get the most out of your training experience, we recommend that you use Skillpipe with an internet connection. If your course is rewarded, this recommendation becomes an essential need.

You can learn more about Skillpipe here.

Support 2.0. If I contract the course with this level of support, do I have an expert who will carry out personalized and individualized follow-up?

The type of monitoring that is carried out with support 2.0 is detailed in https://catalogo.nanfor.com/pages/soporte-2-0.

Interaction with the expert takes place primarily through Nanfor's training portal, the Forum and Email. Doubts and questions are resolved through answers in the forums or videos on questions explained at the time by the expert in online sessions. If necessary, the expert would organize an online session with the student and group of students to explain the corresponding doubts. The description of the query items can be found here.
In the case of wanting a personalized daily monitoring by a support expert, it could be done in individualized sessions that, depending on the times, would be carried out as tailored classes and contracted for this purpose.
The monitoring, tasks and activities are marked by the official indexes of the courses and is the educational path that the student must follow.
