Student inquiries

And if I have a question, what do I do?

Students mainly have the following forms of contact

  • Consultation Forum: It is located within the Nanfor training portal, located among the resources at the beginning of the course. It is the best tool to interact with your trainer, with the aim of:
    • Make a query about the course content
    • Write queries about the course practices and/or laboratories
    • Comment on additional content
    • Review comments or interactions from other students.
  • Email: The main objective of email communication is to solve technical problems or interact (reminders, invitations, registrations...) with the student.
  • ChatGPT based on Azure AI: Through our innovative Artificial Intelligence systems, students will be able to search for any concept and obtain immediate answers. ChatGPT is available on Nanfor's virtual campus and allows students to get quick, personalized responses, enhancing their learning experience and allowing them to spend more time absorbing new knowledge and skills.

Additionally, as a complement to the elements described above (Forum for educational queries and email for technical queries) we offer you other forms of contact:

Password to access courses. I can change it?

The Nanfor support team can only track those students who maintain the password provided to them at the beginning of the course.

Any change to the password would mean the inability to maintain the support service. So the student would go from individualized support to self-study and would not be able to subsidize the course.

Nanfor courses and content

The content on which Nanfor courses are based is of different origins; it can be official content from the manufacturer, content developed by Nanfor and content selected by Nanfor so that the training experience adapts to the expectations and objectives of the training action. This means that certain courses can have different origins and components.

Forums, monitoring and follow-up activities are carried out by Nanfor.

The only means of communication for the courses, regardless of the content, is through the Nanfor platform, forum and/or email.

Bonus Courses (Students)

If your company has contracted the course with the right to a bonus, keep in mind that:

  1. Dates: The start and end dates of the course cannot be modified or extended over time.
  2. Where to take the course: You must ALWAYS access your manuals and resources from the Nanfor training portal, so that your accesses and duration spent in the study are recorded.
  3. Commitment: Although at Nanfor we try to energize your training, it is your responsibility as a student to commit to completing the training. If, due to negligence or omission, you do not complete the objectives, the company will not be able to receive a bonus and will have to assume all the costs of the course (with the aggravating factor that, in addition, you will not have taken advantage of a good opportunity to train).

Bonus Courses (Companies)

Sometimes, companies can take advantage of the advantages offered by certain subsidies or bonuses so that their workers can undergo training.

It is very important to identify which training can be subsidized, at what percentage, and which cannot, BEFORE the start of a course. Only in this way will you be able to obtain the best training at the most economical price.

So, if you are interested in subsidizing one or more courses, we recommend that you read the Bonus Guide carefully and/or ask your consultant if there are any questions left unresolved.

Subsidized and NON-subsidized Course – Economic difference

When hiring a subsidized course and comparing its price with one that is not, these logical questions may arise: What economic difference is there between a subsidized and non-subsidized course? Is the difference because you manage the administrative aspects?

The higher discounted rate is not for the administrative procedures, but for the type of support and additional tasks that our organization requires to manage the participant's follow-up with personalized reports.

We can carry out the arrangements for free, but for an online course to be eligible for credit, a set of additional tasks are necessary at the level of support and report management, which motivate the differences in rates.

If it is not subsidized, with rates of 695 euros, the student has freedom of access in terms of duration and subject matter, and may carry out the parts they deem appropriate based on their available time and the topics that may interest them most. (Note: always taking into account the times of the official packages).

If it is eligible for a bonus, we must supervise that the student has carried out all the activities, that he is there a minimum of 80% of the time, that he has passed the tests, that he completes the training at an established time and dates, and that he participates in the forum or any type of interaction.

Duration and postponements of courses and internships

The courses have specific start and end dates. These completion dates are based on the data sent in the proposals to those responsible for purchasing (sometimes it coincides and it is the same participant who takes the course and in many other cases the course is contracted by the person responsible for human resources).

The dates of certain training resources are fixed, cannot be postponed and cannot be extended. Below, we show a couple of specific cases of the so-called training 'resources':

      • Online Laboratory – Microsoft Course: Training resource whose start date is established in writing with the student, once their training has begun on the portal. .

The associated deadlines cannot be modified without a new purchase.
These resources will not be returned or replaced once sent if the course participant, within a maximum period of 72 hours, does not notify support@nanforiberica.com with acknowledgment of receipt of the incident due to lack of operation. Any cause such as vacations, increased workload or other circumstances, in the case of a modification that affects these resources, cannot be attended to due to their expiration dates.

Support attention from the Nanfor technical and/or training team may only be extended if the causes are justified, and always with the aim of the participants achieving their objectives.

      Official Certification Exam

An official Certification exam allows you to demonstrate your knowledge, at an international level, endorsed by the manufacturer (Microsoft, Oracle, LPI, AXELOS ...).

      1) If you want to get certified and have purchased a Training+Exam package, you should know:

      • Each exam has its own characteristics depending on the type of exam and manufacturer, generally they are usually included in:
        • Language: In English and sometimes other languages such as Spanish.
        • Duration: From 90 minutes to 150 minutes is usually the maximum duration on average.
        • Location: All exams can be taken online, and some manufacturers allow in-person testing at an authorized center.
      • We recommend that no more than 2 months pass after a candidate finishes a course and takes the exam (To be able to review-expand concepts some time after the training and not forget them in turn). The maximum period to sit an exam with the Training+Exam package is a maximum of 6 months after the end date of the course (although it will depend on the length of the course/courses and the availability of the center/candidates).
      • Nanfor has many students in teletraining mode and the manufacturers it represents have remote certification methods without having to travel to a VUE center.
The method for certification at the office or home is the simplest. In the case of Microsoft we have this option: About online exams with Pearson VUE | Microsoft Learn
      • If you wish to take the exams in person:
        - The candidate should request an exam date at a place close to their home. To see where they are performed, go to: https://home.pearsonvue.com/test-taker.aspx

      • In some of its centers Nanfor offers the possibility of taking the exams. They are normally held for students of the entity, on the last Friday of each month. To request exam dates, contact the consultant who managed the course.
      • If you have agreed on an exam date with the consultant, in order to appear, you must complete all the information on a registration form that we will provide you by mail at least one week before the exam. You have an example of the form and how to fill it out here .

      2) If you want to get certified and have not purchased a Training+Exam package, contact us and we will inform you of the existing possibilities. If you want to purchase the exam voucher without consulting us in advance, you can do so from here .

Test exams What are they for and what are they like?

To help you prepare for an official certification exam, we provide you (within the training courses), exams in PDF version with example questions.

Although these questions-answers have been developed by experts, this material should be used to know the format of the questions and become familiar with them, but there may be some whose answer is not appropriate.

You should ALWAYS compare the answers with the course theory, additional resources (for example by consulting your tutor in the Forum) or reviewing the official Technet websites of Microsoft, Oracle, etc.

      Language of the courses

I want to enroll in a course and I don't know if it is in Spanish, how can I find out?

Quickly, search our catalog for the course you are interested in. Review its information and THE INDEX of the course will tell you what language it is in. If the course index is in Spanish, the course will be in Spanish, and so with any other language.

Additionally, at the top of official Microsoft courses , it is indicated whether they are available in one or more languages.

The official Microsoft courses have the laboratories in English , with the possibility of translating the instructions from the browser.

      In a generic way:

      • Official manufacturer courses follow internationally regulated guidelines and regulations. This means that in most cases manufacturers such as Microsoft, Oracle, Linux LPI, Axelos, etc. create their content in English, so the participant finds subtitled videos, base content, practices and exam questions. /test in this language.
      • All courses developed by Nanfor are usually in Spanish (although sometimes we have more versions in other languages).

To take the official courses it is NOT necessary to have an advanced level of the language, only to understand common technological terms in different languages (Networking, hardware, links, etc...)

In addition, and as a fundamental part of the success of the training actions, there is the monitoring, accompaniment and supervision of the Nanfor support staff, who carry out the training tasks (forum, consultations, support...) in Spanish/Spanish as indicated at https ://catalogo.nanfor.com/pages/soporte-2-0

      Laboratory What is it?

Laboratories are the way in which a student can put into practice the knowledge acquired in theory, without needing different equipment, licenses and facilities. It is a virtual environment accessible with a browser, from where you can practice as if they were real machines.

Sometimes the laboratories are an independent resource from the Training Manual and therefore have a timing (different Start and End Dates).

      Currently we have these laboratories:

      1. Online Laboratory (Microsoft Course)
      2. Oracle Laboratory

      ↑ Top

      Online Laboratory – Microsoft Course

They are a complement to the theoretical part of the course. It has a maximum duration of 180 days , although some courses are limited to 14 days due to tenant credentials.

They are an independent resource to the Microsoft Learn training route and it is important to remember that, in order to do it:

      • It is necessary to pre-establish a start date in writing between the student and the department. Nanfor support.
IMPORTANT: It is essential to set a date for the activation of the laboratory within the first 2 months from the beginning of the course. If not, the student loses the right to it.
      • Once the support department confirms and reserves the dates, they cannot be modified.
      • In the case of Azure course laboratories, the start date will coincide with the course start date and they will be available with operational Azure credentials during the 180 days of access.

To carry out the laboratories, follow these simple steps:

      1. Access your Lab from the link within your own Nanfor Training Portal course.
      2. It will ask you for credentials (email and password). Enter them, redeem the code you received in the welcome email and you will go to a virtual environment from where you can control and use one or more virtual machines prepared for your exercises.

You can see an example here .

Note: These labs are independent of any other resources, and therefore, in order to use them, you must have received credentials exclusive to them (which usually coincide with those of the Training Portal).

You can download a detailed Guide to the operation of the laboratories here .

      Oracle Laboratory

They are part of the content of the Oracle course. The dates to do it coincide with those established for reading and understanding the theory.

To carry out the laboratories, follow these simple steps:

      1. Access your course as you do the rest of the theory.
      2. Click on the Labs tab

      4. When you have reserved and confirmed this date, you just have to click on Access your Lab.

If you click here , you can see an example of how to find these steps in your course.

2.0 support. If I contract the course with this level of support, do I have an expert who provides personalized and individualized follow-up?

The type of tracking carried out with support 2.0 is detailed at https://catalogo.nanfor.com/pages/soporte-2-0 .

The interaction with the expert is carried out mainly through the Nanfor training portal, the Forum and Email. Doubts and questions are resolved through answers in the forums or videos on issues explained at the time by the expert in online sessions. If necessary, the expert would organize an online session with the student and group of students to explain the corresponding doubts. The description of the query elements can be found here .
In the case of wanting personalized daily monitoring by a support expert, it could be done in individualized sessions that, depending on time, would be carried out as tailored classes and contracted for this purpose outside of the rates that we indicate in the Web.
The monitoring, tasks and activities are marked by the official indexes of the courses and it is the training path that the student must follow.
