Nanfor was present at the Training and E-learning Congress 2025 , organized by the National Association of E-learning Centers and Providers Ancypel
Madrid, May 2025
The event began last Thursday, May 22, at the Granada Conference Center , where It brought together leading professionals from the educational, institutional, and technological sectors to discuss the present and future of digital training and its impact on employability.
The opening day was chaired by Arturo de las Heras García , president of ANCYPEL . De las Heras emphasized that the congress is a "crucial opportunity to attract experts and leaders in artificial intelligence and leadership, in order to share knowledge and advances essential to our society." He emphasized that the future of youth and workers depends on continuous training that allows them to acquire new skills, adapt to technological changes, and meet business demands. "These objectives will only be achieved if the government and companies work together, valuing public-private collaboration to the fullest," he stated. He also highlighted the need for training entities to be "very attentive to technological advances and the application of new tools in our clients' training processes."
Continuing Education: The Key to the Future of Work
The first presentation was given by Eva Ledo Cabaleiro , Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training. Ledo presented the government's strategies for modernizing Vocational Training and the pillars of the new Vocational Training Law , highlighting its transformative nature and its adaptation to the current challenges of the labor market. She explained that the new Vocational Training system must respond to the needs of the productive system, focusing on three key challenges: digitalization, reskilling, and innovation .
The second day of the Training and E-learning 2025 Congress offered a detailed look at the challenges and advances in job training in Spain, with a special focus on the impact of artificial intelligence.
Valeriano Gómez , president of the CIFE Foundation and former Minister of Labor and Immigration, presented a comprehensive assessment. Gómez highlighted the progress, such as the increase in adult participation and an expansion in training offerings, which allowed for the training of more than six million people by 2023. However, he warned about the low penetration of training in SMEs and the urgency of optimizing budget execution, especially in the Ministry of Education. To improve employability, Gómez proposed making benefits, training, and part-time employment compatible, and expressed the aspiration for a dual vocational training model comparable to the German one.
On the other hand, Antonio de Luis Acevedo , managing director of FUNDAE , shared the results of the F2024-F2025 call, which demonstrates a growing demand for digital skills and emerging technologies. Acevedo emphasized that " FUNDAE acts as a bridge between training and progress, fostering the participation of social stakeholders through dialogue and cooperation." He announced a notable 38% growth in the participation of beneficiary entities compared to 2022. Among the future challenges, he mentioned training in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and the integration of the migrant population, in addition to the development of microcredentials as key tools for employment.
Artificial intelligence as a driver of educational and employment transformation was the central focus of this event. María Victoria Martín-Lomeña Guerrero , Secretary General of Employment for the Andalusian Regional Government, emphasized that "Vocational Training for Employment is the main active policy that improves the employability of the unemployed." She emphasized the need to adapt regional plans to the new digital ecosystem and to foster strategic alliances with technology companies.

AI: A Transformative Axis in Education and Employment
AI as a Catalyst for Change
Gonzalo Romero , Director of Education for Spain at Google, compared AI to momentous inventions such as fire or electricity, calling it "one of the most profound technologies humankind has ever created." He shared his amazement at the safety of Waymo's self-driving cars, highlighting AI's potential. Romero warned of a "radical transformation" in employment, which could eliminate 83 million automatable jobs but also generate 70 million new jobs linked to learning and creativity. "Are we ready to lead this transition?" he asked, urging the development of clear strategies for AI adoption in education and business.
Meanwhile, Mariano Salas , Google's Digital Transformation Manager, introduced Gemini, Google's new AI assistant. Salas highlighted its capabilities to "summarize classes for students who arrive late, transcribe meetings in real time, and translate simultaneously," which represents "a qualitative leap in online training."
Preparation and Responsibility in the Use of AI
José Luis Díez Torres , HP Education Ambassador, focused on the practical application and legal responsibility of AI in the classroom. He noted that, starting in February 2025, continuing digital training will be mandatory, according to the European regulation on artificial intelligence. With a striking analogy, Díez emphasized: "We can't hand the keys to a Ferrari to a child who plays with go-karts," underscoring the importance of proper training. He also warned that "the use of AI in education is high-risk and will be subject to fines starting in August 2026 if it doesn't comply with regulations."
After a break for emotional coaching with Christian García , Manuel Abellán Serna , Head of Universities at Microsoft Spain, shared examples of the use of AI at Spanish institutions such as CEU, IESE, and Rey Juan Carlos University. Abellán emphasized the need for responsible and secure AI that protects data privacy and prevents its use to train external models.
Commitment to the Digital Future
The closing ceremony of the conference, chaired by Arturo de las Heras , president of ANCYPEL , reaffirmed the association's commitment to continue promoting a digital training and e-learning model that integrates innovation, technology, and employability, in order to prepare society for the challenges of the future labor market.
