This course is taught in online format It consists of 5 units and practical activities. The course lasts 70 hours . distribute between the content and the collaboration tools. Upon completion, the student will receive a certificate of completion.

Introduction

In an increasingly dynamic business environment, organizations need flexible, collaborative, and effective project management tools . Microsoft Project Plan 5 It combines the best of traditional planning solutions (such as Project Online and Project for the Web) with the simplicity and agility of Microsoft Planner , allowing comprehensive management from simple projects to strategic portfolios.  

This course is designed to provide participants with the skills necessary to plan, execute, monitor, and optimize projects using the tools included in Project Plan 5. Through a hands-on methodology, key functionalities such as task creation, resource allocation, Gantt chart visualization, and automation with Power are explored. Automate and create reports with Power BI .

To train participants in the effective use of Microsoft Planner and the advanced tools of Project Plan 5 to manage collaborative projects, controlling resources, times, tasks and deliverables from the cloud.

  • Create and manage work plans with Microsoft Planner .  

  • Develop schedules, establish dependencies, and allocate resources in Project for the Web.

  • Automate processes and generate project reports with Power Platform .  

  • Apply best practices for traditional and agile project management using Microsoft 365 tools.

Module 2: Microsoft Planner Fundamentals

  • Create and manage plans  

  • Planner Structure : Boards, tasks, buckets , and labels  

  • Task assignment and collaboration  

  • Progress tracking with charts and calendars  

  • Planner integration with Teams and Outlook

Activities:  

  • Create a plan in Planner for a simple project  

  • Real-time collaboration from within Teams  

Module 3: Microsoft Project for the Web

  • Create a project from scratch  

  • Use of views: Grid, Board, Timeline (Gantt)  

  • Definition of tasks, dependencies, and duration  

  • Allocation of resources and effort  

  • Monitoring project progress  

Activities:  

  • Planning a real project using Project for the Web  

  • Using the programming panel (Gantt)  

Module 4: Advanced use with Project Plan 5

  • Roadmap : Visualization of multiple projects  

  • Project portfolio management  

  • Integration with Power Automate (workflow automation)  

  • Power BI for project reports  

  • Connecting to Project Online (for users migrating from the classic version)

Activities:

  • Create a Roadmap with several projects  

  • Automate task notifications with Power Automate  

  • Generate status reports with Power BI  

Module 5: Good practices in project management

  • Agile vs. traditional management with Planner and Project  

  • Roles and responsibilities in the team  

  • Risk and change management  

  • Project lifecycle in Microsoft 365  

  • Version control and auditing  

Activities:  

  • Project simulation with scope change  

  • Project performance evaluation with reports  

Final Assessment and Certification

  • Practical project: Complete project planning ( Planner + Project + Roadmap )
