Course Description: AZ-1001: Deploy and manage containers using Azure Kubernetes Service

To earn this Microsoft Applied Skills credential, learners demonstrate their ability to work with containers, container orchestration with Kubernetes, and manage clusters in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) . Candidates for this credential should have experience with Azure administration and deploying resources to Azure. They should also have a basic understanding of Azure Policy, Kubernetes, and AKS concepts, including docker and kubectl commands.

Deploy containers using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)

• Planning an Azure Kubernetes Service deployment: In this module, you will learn about the core components of the Kubernetes infrastructure, including control plane nodes, node pools, and workload resources such as pods, deployments, and sets.
• Deploy and use Azure Container Registry: Learn how to create a private registry service to create, store, and manage container images and related artifacts.
• Deploy an Azure Kubernetes Service cluster: In this module, you will learn how to create an Azure Kubernetes Service cluster, configure its components, and connect to it using kubectl commands.
• Create an Azure Kubernetes Service cluster: Use Azure Policy to apply policies and security measures to your large-scale Kubernetes clusters. Azure Policy ensures that your cluster is secure, compliant, and consistent across your organization.
• Deploy applications to Azure Kubernetes Service: This module explains how to provision an Azure Kubernetes Service cluster and validate the effect of Azure Policy.
• Configure scaling in Azure Kubernetes Service: This module describes scaling applications in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including manual scaling of pods or nodes and integration with Azure Container Instances (ACI).

Prerequisites
