Microsoft announces a new era of certifications
Microsoft has taken a decisive step to simplify and modernize its certification map, aligning it with the most disruptive market trends: artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and security . From now on, certifications are grouped into three main solutions :

Cloud & AI Platforms
This solution integrates infrastructure, data, AI, and digital application development. It includes certifications for key roles such as Azure administrators, AI engineers, and application innovation experts, building critical skills for hybrid environments and cloud-based solutions. -
AI Business Solutions
It replaces the Modern Work and Business Applications certifications. It is geared towards professionals leading business transformation with AI, incorporating new credentials such as: - Microsoft Certified: AI Transformation Leader

Microsoft Certified: Agentic AI Business Solutions Architect
These certifications validate skills to implement solutions with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, as well as multi-agent orchestration and responsible AI practices. -
Security
It remains an independent solution, with essential certifications in cybersecurity, identity and compliance, such as SC-100 Cybersecurity Architect and SC-300 Identity and Access Administrator .
Why this change?
The goal is to simplify the learning path , reduce redundancies, and focus on skills critical for real-world roles. The reorganization responds to trends such as:
- Integration of generative AI and Copilot in all areas.
- Platform consolidation (Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365).
- Greater emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance .
As part of this transition, some fundamental certifications, such as MS-900 Microsoft 365 Fundamentals and MB-910/MB-920 Dynamics 365 Fundamentals , will be retired in December 2025 to make way for credentials more focused on AI and intelligent agents.
