Course description. PL-7003: Create and Manage Model-Driven Apps with Power Apps and Dataverse

To earn this Microsoft applied skills credential, students demonstrate the ability to create model-driven applications using Microsoft Power Apps.

In this course you will practice building model-driven apps using Microsoft Power Apps . Some of the skills you will validate are creating Dataverse tables, modifying forms and views, and setting up a model-driven app. The scenario for this course is to learn how to create a model-driven app using Microsoft Power Apps . Experience represents the real-world challenges faced by people building model-driven applications and who have industry-specific experience.

Create and manage model-driven apps with Power Apps and Dataverse

• Create tables in Dataverse: Dataverse allows you to securely store and manage data used by enterprise applications. Custom and standard tables within Dataverse provide a secure, cloud-based storage option for your data.
• Introduction to model-driven apps in Power Apps: Model-driven app design is an approach that focuses on quickly adding components to your apps. These components include dashboards, forms, views, and charts. You can build simple or complex apps with little or no code.
• Setting up forms, charts, and dashboards in model-driven apps: In this module, you will learn about the forms, grids, views, charts, and dashboards that you can use in model-driven apps.
• Manage solutions in Power Apps and Power Automate: Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate include package features such as Microsoft Power Apps apps, sitemaps, flows, entities, customer connectors, and more. In this module, you will learn how to manage solutions with Power Automate.
• Guided Project: Create and manage model-driven apps with Power Apps and Dataverse: In this module, you'll practice building model-driven apps with Microsoft Power Apps, including creating Dataverse tables, modifying forms and views, and configuring apps. The lab provides interactive practice with real-world scenarios and specific business problems.

Prerequisites

Familiarity with data modeling concepts in Microsoft Dataverse and Power Apps Maker Portal is recommended.
